Emergency service
Shut the water off. Then call.
Stopping the water costs you nothing and saves the floor. Everything after that is easier to deal with, including the bill.
While you wait for us
- 1
Smell gas? Get everyone out.
This comes first because nothing else matters until the house is empty. Do not flip switches, do not unplug anything, and do not go hunting for the leak. Call us from the sidewalk or a neighbor’s house.
- 2
No gas smell? Stop the water.
Find the main shutoff, usually where the supply enters the house or out by the street meter, and turn it clockwise until it stops. If the leak is at one fixture, the small valve under it may be enough.
- 3
Call and describe it
Ring (925) 455-5200 and tell us where the water is coming from, how fast, and what you have already tried. That usually tells us what to load in the van.
What counts as an emergency
Roughly, anything actively causing damage or anything involving gas. If you are not sure, call and ask. We would rather talk you out of a service call than have you sit on a leak overnight.
- Main line or sewer backing up into the house
- A burst or split supply line
- Water heater leaking from the base or the relief valve
- A slab leak that surfaced overnight
- Toilet overflowing and not stopping
- Disposal or dishwasher line flooding the cabinet
- Any smell of gas, at any hour
Still running?
Call and talk it through. We can usually point you in the right direction over the phone.
